Kate and Warwick Travel
After extracting ourselves from work, in June 2008 we ran away from home to explore Europe. Our first trip lasted a fascinating 16 months visiting London, St Petersburg and Moscow in Russia, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Italy, France, Balearic Islands in Spain, Malta, Greece, Germany, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. We went home at the end of 2009 for: Chandra's wedding (Warwick's daughter); Christmas with the family; catch up with our friends; put our belongings in storage and to rent the house out. We left again in March 2010, travelling in Europe for eight months visiting France, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina. We next returned to Australia in November 2010 for: Warwick's 50th anniversary of graduating from Royal Military College Duntroon; catching up with friends and family and planning our next trip. We were booked to fly to Cairo on 15 February 2011 to embark on four months in the Middle East and Northern Africa followed by Europe for the rest of the year. However, it was not to be. The countries we wanted to visit one by one erupted in their quest for democracy. So, we changed our plans completely, bought a 4x4 Toyota Prado and set off in mid May 2011 to explore outback Australia in all its glory after the recent "flooding rains". Our camping trip lasted 19 months until December 2012. We have now commenced our next European trip, April to November 2013.
