Crossing - Apataki Atoll to Papeete (Tahiti) – 09/08/12 to 10/08/12

The crossing from Apataki Atoll to Papeete in Tahiti was pretty straight forward (at last!!), with a steady 15 to 20Knt south easterly blowing the whole way. This got me to Tahiti ahead of schedule and I once again had to enter a port in the middle of the night.

This was however really safe and straight forward as the port in Papeete is extreamlly well marked and easy to navigate at night. I backed into a mooring at the Quay Marina and had a great night sleep knowing that I would not have to raise an anchor again in the morning.
