Bob comes home Hi All What a day, plenty of rattles and squeaks, but enough about us!! France X Belgium X Germany X After a night in St Omer last night, trying the local food and drinks (pizza and belgium beer), we headed to bed at about 12am, after getting slightly lost looking for the hotel, Thank god the car has SAT NAV!!! We slept well (god knows the last time I was in a bunk bed). We had breakfast and then all headed outside to see if our cars would start. Thank fully they all did. We were then given the address of the hotel and the first challenge to take as many photos of Car brands, so far we have 46 which I think is impressive. The plan was to drive through France into and through Belgium and arrive at the Nürburgring in Germany to watch or and drive round this race track. When we arrived the ring was closed to the public because of a motorbike race, or so we thought, With a sigh of relief we headed around the shops, ate at Subway (local food again) and then headed away, As we headed towards the hotel, it appeared the track had reopened, so we handbrake turned to a standstill (not really) and watched as a huge mix of cars and vans tanked it around the ring. JASON, a T25 was chasing an under pressure porsche (it was a sight to be hold), As the average speed of all the other vehicles appeared to be higher than Bobs maximum speed on his speedo, we thought it would be appropriate and safer not to get involved. And here we are a nice hotel in Germany with Bob feeling right at home, I must say I have seen more old beetles, campers and the like in England than I have out here, I am not sure what that means about us but I am sure we have it right. Right I better bugger off as my belly is calling Bye for now
