Baz & Denise's Aussie Travels
9th Apr 2012
Port Augusta to Smoky Bay

After leaving Port August free camp we drove to Kimba where we stopped for a coffee and some home made fruit cake - oops forgot to freeze the cake and it didn't look well enough to eat lucky there was a rubbish bin nearby and we had biscuits in the pantry. All refreshed we drove on to Wudinna and stopped at the Granite Sculpture for some lunch, pan fried sandwiches with Denise's home made relish, cheese, tomato and home cooked corned beef, yum. One the way to Smoky Bay we stopped for coffee at POOchera and then on to Smoky Bay Caravan Park via Streaky Bay. We thought a drive along the coast would be good after the boring drive from Port Augusta, unfortunately the road was slightly off the coast and only offered occasional glimpses of the ocean. Currently at Smoky Bay for a two night stop and hopefully catch some fish from the jetty.
