Retracing the Past

Today we didn't get up until 9am and after Rob's amazing English Breakie it was off to explore Steve's past. We found his Nan's house in Desborough, his old home near the shoe factory in Rothwell and their old market town of Kettering. We took a photo in a park where Steve had a previous photo with his Mum when he was about five. It rained continuously until 4.40pm after raining all night. It was about 8 degrees all day but with the wind chill they said it felt like 6 degrees and I agree. It is predicted to warm up for the rest of the week so we are looking forward to 17 degrees by the end of the week!! Wow heat wave. The rain and cold haven't stopped us doing anything and the countryside is very green with all the rivers bursting their banks so the scenery is lovely. We are staying in Wellingborough tonight and tomorrow it is off the the 2nd biggest city in the UK.

Next: Wellingborough to Birmingham
Previous: Warwick Castle
