Baz & Denise's Aussie Travels
|
Walpole to GinGin Well we took a look at the weather predicted in the Walpole area and decided that one night with winds in excess of 100K's an hour was enough - the predicted weather was for cloudy wet days with some sun and then back into thunderstorms and strong winds. One sleepless night was enough so we decided to pack up and move up to GinGin which is about 1 hour north of Perth and close enough to some beaches and other tourist attractions. The location also makes it easier for Stan and Jenny to travel to Perth to attend to their commitments there. They will be in Perth for 3 or 4 days and we will have a quiet wind down at the Wiilowbrook Caravan Park and baby sit their dogs for them. The Caravan park is on an old sheep station and they provided excellent services for families particularly those with young children they are also pet friendly. When children are in the park they have animal feeding where the kids get to get up close and personal with Lamas, sheep, cattle, geese and goats. Each Friday night they have a bonfire where campers are encouraged to sit around the fire, share travel stories - jokes and tell lies. Then every Sunday the provide fresh scones with jam and cream just bring your own tea, coffee or chocolate. Bill and Lil are great people and I encourage everyone to give them a visit. Robert and Kathy brought Aunty Glad up for a visit on Sunday and Denise put on an excellent lunch, not was really great to catch up with them again, we really enjoy their company and always look forward to spending time with them. Stan and Jen headed down to Perth yesterday (Monday) and we are staying fairly close to camp with the dogs. Denise has also been unwell and spent most of the day in bed - so sorry everyone no fabulous photos yet but we will post a couple of the camp and the Caravan Park.
