Another day in Hawaii sun, surf and fun! Today we opted for a trip around the Island with E Noa Tours, what a busy day. It was good to have a look around and see the sights on the Island of O'ahu we sure had another beautiful day and managed to see..... the Halona 'Blowhole' lookout, Dole Plantation, Byodo-In-Temple, beaches, hills, islands and more. The Waimea Falls provided a chance for us to stretch our legs as we walked a couple of kilometres to the Falls and back through gardens while our guide gave us a commentary on the plants and trees. A lot of endangered species are being cared for at the gardens with the hope of re-introducing these specimens back into gardens around the Island and saving them from extinction. I have to admit that while I find the ginger flowers very beautiful I can't help but think how I spent my last day at home cutting a pile of ginger out of our back yard!! (With Malo's help). Our guide Mark was very informative and had some great tales to tell us........just wish I could remember them all. Also, I am in awe of these people that go out and surf waves as big as the ones found here.........give me a boogie board and some small waves anyday!!
