Hamisi and Abdalla's family(continue) 'In terms of the water we use here at home we use the well water which is salty water from our neighbors i.e a 20 liter container is sold at ksh.3/= For this water we use it for drinking, cooking.washing utensils.washing clothes and bathing. We do have the fresh water in the village which is being sold at ksh.30/= per 20 liter container but for the fresh water its expensive for us and we just use the salty water which is untreated. Due to the above kind of life, its therefore hard for me to take my family for any leisure or treat.Previously when i could make good sales in my wood carving work i could take the kids to the beach(pirates) and even to Likoni ferry but am now unable to do that. However in case we have free time we use our time inattending our small family garden where we have planted maize(corn) and vegetables. The sponsorship program under the umbrella of the Mtomondoni sponsorship program is a very good idea because its through this program which my family have benefited a lot.The program has helped us built for us a permanent(bricks) house which we now live in,before my mother and all of the kids used to live in an old mud house with the roof being thatched with coconut leaves which was very old and about to fall down and become dangerous for us to live in especially during rainy season. With the new house built for us through the Mtomondoni sponsorship program we are living comfortably, thanks to the donors. Also its through the Mtomondoni sponsorship program which have really made us to get food especially during Christmas times ever since the program started.Apart from the Christmas food my family have been getting lots of assistance from some sponsors through Sara and Gail and have been able to buy us food and even send us money through the program Africa co-ordinator,in this way we we have been able to receive lots of assistance.Above all,the program have been able to provide quality education to my uncles Hamisi and Abdalla whom both of thier parents passed away some few years back. Through the Mtomondoni Sponsorship program and specifically through Sara and Gail i have been personally been boosted in the marketing and sales of wood carving products especially on the key rings.Through the sale of the key rings.i have been able to buy food for the family, buy drugs for my mother and the rest of the kids and above all the key rings money has helped me to start up a bathroom and toilet project as seen in the pictures. Due to all of the above great assistance my family has been receiving through the Mtomondoni sponsorship program.Am therefore whole heartedly pray for continuity of this program and long life.I also want to thank Moses, the Africa co-ordinator who has been working soo hard and dedicatedly in delivering everything to the kids and also to us as parents of the kids.To me i feel a very big relief ever since Hamisi and Abdalla were sponsored into the program as it gave me some breathing space of educating the rest of the kids.Ever since we joined the program i have seen lots of changes in terms of quality education and good progress in school as the Mtomondoni sponsorship program have been providing the kids with all what they want i terms of school needs i.e books, uniform, food and paying for school fees.As result Abdalla and Hamis school performance is impressive and i have high hopes that in future they will both make it to good secondary schools and even to the university. Finally on behalf of y mother we want to thank all the sponsors in the Mtomondoni sponsorship program an urge them to continue with the same spirit of helping the needy kids here in Africa.' Thank you and bye from Antony(Hamisi and Abdalla's uncle)
