(Tag 6) Heilbronn to Heidelburg

100km and longest day so far. Few showers then 30 minutes of heavy rain at a time when we had missed the cycle path on the left bank and were on a busy road on the right bank. Arrived in Erbach in heavy rain and were delighted to fall upon a bike friendly cafe with sinfully large slabs of cake. First puncture on a muddy gravel track but after the rain and it was easily fixed. Our fist impression of Heidelburg is of a beautiful old university town, dripping with history and in a very picturesque setting. Tomorrow we have a rest day in Heidelburg.
