Maz and Tom's Adventure
8th Jun 2012
The Killing Fields.

Today we went to the biggest and most famous of the killing fields. At the centre of the site stands a memorial to the dead containing thousands of bones and which are stacked in 12 stories high, filling the entire monument. All of buildings which once stood here had now been demolished but an excellent commentary of the area gave a detailed description of what it was once like.
Again this was a very emotional day and it was horrific to think that the Cambodian people had so recently been through such a brutal four year period which saw 1 in 4 people in the entire country murdered.

Next: Ho Chi Minh City.
Previous: Phnom Penh.
