Welcome back!.  Made our way across to Halls Creek and Fitzroy Crossing.  Took a slight detour to Geiki Gorge but it was a bit of a waste of time.  You needed to take a cruise to really to see the Gorge and as we had not booked a tour, all we seen was the very nice wide river.

Anyhow, back in the car.  The next step was Derby.  Stayed for 2 nights at the park and were able to see the local attractions easily in one day.  Seen the famous Derby wharf at nearly low tide and nearly high tide. Apparantely it is only mud at really low tide.  Dtrove the cars around the wharf as did everyone else.  Checked out the prison boab tree which was interesting.

We left for Broome on Monday and booked in for five nights.  We all had a big splurge and booked a tour of the Horizontal Falls.  WOW!  What an experience.  Scott and Mel went on Thursday and had really good conditions.  Col and I drew the short straw and went this morning.  It is so windly here it would blow a dog off a chain.  Going out in the sea plan was not too bad this morning but coming back was pretty torrid.  We both felt a bit wonky.  Col is on the bed sleeping it off.  He felt worse than me.  But, what a great experience.  We went on a speed boat through the larger of the two falls but the small one was much too dangerous so we did not attemp that one.  Had a bit of a cruise around the creeks and vast waterways.  A bit expensive but well worth the money.  Another tick for the bucket list.

Well, time to move on again .  We are heading down to Eighty Mile Beach tomorrow for some serious fishing.  Not sure how long we will stay.  If this wind and cold keeps up, it might be only a couple of days.

I know there is no phone or internet service there so it will probably be another week before I am on the air again.
