Maz and Tom's Adventure
13th Jun 2012
Cu Chi, Vietcong, Tunnels

Today we went on another tour to Cu Chi which is famous for the massive network of tunnels used by the Vietcong in the War. These tunnels were instrumental in Vietnam's final victory in the war.
The tour was really interesting and they showed how they used traps, which were previously used for hunting, to kill and maim American soldiers. It was a bit weird just how much they hated Americans at at one point, while showing us a trap aimed to hit enemies in their private parts, the tour guide burst out laughing and said this was why there were a lot of American "lady boys" during in the war!!.
The tunnels themselves were so cramped and not fun at all - even though they had been widened and we only went down 40 metres of them.
