Lynton & Wendy's Aust trip
25th Jun 2012 - 26th Jun 2012
A day at the Beach

After our arrival at Eighty mile beach we had a good nights sleep until someone (won't mention any names) decided at 7.00am that a walk along the beach was the order of the day. So off she went in search of water, the only problem she had was that the tide had gone OUT. So SHE walked the Kilometer out across the sand so that HE could put HER feet in the water. I was much more sensible and stayed in bed.

After breaky we went and paid for another night and I bought some much needed and important fishing gear. A new line some hooks and of course some bait. so following a lunch break and time to Install the new line onto two reels, Geoffrey and I were ready to GO FISHING. the only problem was that it was blowing a gale and we were told by all those in the know that it would be a waste of time. BUT not to be discouraged we went anyway.

Well after about an hour and three quarters and all we had to show for our efforts was a wet bum, and not to mention the fact that the sea gulls were pinching our bait before it had time to sink. WE GAVE UP.

all the while we were fishing Wendy, Penny and Gaylene were (you guessed it) collecting shells, we now have enough shells to start a beach in Boronia.

So after packing up all the fishing gear we headed off over to the Cabin were Geoffrey and friends were spending the night, we enjoyed a BBQ tea and a very pleasant evening sitting around chatting about each others travlles thus far.

We didn't even start the truck today.
