Visit to Trinity, elk meadow & redwoods

Friday. After good nite at RV park headed on to Lassen Volcanic NP. Headed up winding hill for several miles where roadworks are taking out all the corners - huge earthmoving job!had young doe leap across road in front of us - fast for a photo!
Lassen fantastic ride up over volcanic area with ice & snow on sides, passed Lake Helen still with ice on it!
Riding west dropping very fast to coast, found last campsite. All way thru was Trinity area, following Trinity River!
Saturday.had great ride up coast with cool temps, came across elk meadows with herd grazing on open grasslands, several bucks and bambis! Several had signs of car wounds!
Then on to see Trees of Mystery, big redwood area with lots of wood carving telling story of history, good walkway with gondola ride up over tops into the mist.
Back on the road to Oregon border, temps climbing very quickly to 37! Scenic route to Grants Pass to find McDonalds to get on free wifi.
Plan to get a wifi card so that we have better access to Internet but will use free one for photos.
Also get sleeping bags, only brought silk liners and been cold at nights even with lots of mb gear on!
Great to get messages & especially from Bella, Eva & Samuel!
We saw Yogi bear and he let me have a photo with him, very friendly!
Love S&B
