Andrews Pacific Adventure
29th Jul 2012 - 1st Aug 2012 - My First Pacific Crossing
Nuka Hiva

Hi Everyone,

We sailed up to Nuka Hiva from Hiva Oa a few days ago and have met up with several people that were in Panama, Including the New Zealand boat I went through the Panama Canal on as a line handler. Nice to catch up with friends and have a laugh...

I basically came to Nuka Hiva to collect a replacement Inverter for the fridge/freezer that was sent here by my brother Phillip.. It was sent early July from Australia and made it as far as Customs in Tahiti.. I have made several visits to the local post office and it will take another 2.5 to 3 weeks to get here once finally clearing customs, so I have decided to sail to Tahiti and collect it myself. Should be there in 5 to 10 days (depends on how nice the islands are on the way through).

I am now sailing on alone, Spencer was a great help across the Pacific from Panama but we have decided to go our own ways from here...

Take care and see you all in Tahiti

Andrew
