Well as I leave for a week of skiing in France at Three Valleys in Meribels, I thought it was time for a bit of an update!

Right well not too sure when I last added a posting to the blog so I will start with the second weekend in January.. We had a hockey game scheduled out past Twickenham so jumped on the tube at 8am to Northfields where Sarah was picking us up. Needless to say it was snowing as we were on the tube heading out and at Northfields, there was enough snow to make a nice white blanket on the ground. We got about half way out and got a call to say the pitch was frozen so game was cancelled. Needless to say we tried to get Sarah to stop so we could make snowmen! (We did TRY!) no luck, back to Northfields Station, then back on the tube to Barons and home again….. And still none of the flatmates were up and out of bed!! Slackers! Given that I had gained a whole Saturday and our drier had blown up, it was off to spend some time at the laundromat, get some groceries then home for some dvds… my kinda day! Cally my flatmate was leaving the flat heading back home to Aussie so bit of a big Saturday night meaning another dvd day on Sunday!

The following week I managed to get the flu that had been circulating the office (just after I had told everyone I had an unbreakable immune system.. Just my luck ha!). Anyway the game on Saturday vs Hamstead and Westminster was a top of the table clash, needless to say I was definantly playing! My stubbon streak came out and as luck would have it, we only had 12 so I had to play. Managed a whole game and only died when I stopped moving (like half time) and was yelled at by my goalie that I breathing was overrated and to toughen up! How rude… needless to say I didn’t complain just toughened up and we came away with a 1 all draw to knock them off the top spot! Loving it! After some drinks to celebrate at our local sponsors pub, I headed home as it was another two flatmates leaving party, Mick and Alex more Aussies heading home, however only for 6 months of so, so just a bit of a farewell for now party! Another quiet Sunday…. Need I say more!

Last weekend we played the team (Eastcote) who are now on the top of the table after us having knocked Hampstead and Westminster off top spot (we are currently sitting in third place!)… gotta say a bit of a grudge match but we were lucky (sorry skillful?) enough to come off 1 - 0 up! Back to the pub to celebrate!! Sat night was Suz from my teams birthday so we all headed to the Defectors Weld in Shepherds Bush for drinks. Sunday I took Troops, Jamie and Freigh (flatmates and friend) to Camden Markets however due to some pretty dodgy weather there were a very limited number of Freaks and Geeks out and about so I think another trip in Summer is on the agenda! :)

What else, on Tuesday night I went to the Sound of Music musical with Di for £10 as the musical has only a few weeks left and it was really really good! Got to sing along a little bit we even got our seats upgraded so we were only 4 rows from the front…. Luckily none of the actors spit when they speak otherwise we could have got a rain shower! :)

Anyway I am off skiing for a week tomorrow and I can't wait! I will provide another update when I get back! Have a great week and hope the sun shines a while longer for you all in NZ! xx
