I know this appears very keen... updating the blog after only one day of travelling, but after tomorrow we are moving further from the city and therefore access will be non-existent.

After finishing work yesterday afternoon it was a rush to have quick showers then drive down to Essex to leave the car at friends house then tube/bus to Stansted.  Tried our best to get the complementary upgrade as newly weds, unfortuately budget airlines don't do upgrades, so for an extra 40 quid we settled for seats in economy with extra leg room.  We were an hour late taking off, but considering the lack of luxuries on board (had to pay extra for food and movie viewer) the 12+hrs went surprisingly quick.

Got to Kuala Lumpur airport (GMT +8hrs) and within half an hour we'd gone through passport control/ customs collected baggage and were showering in our 10 pound a night hotel.  As its our honeymoon we've gone all out and treated ourselves with one towel between us for 50p.  Just enjoyed nasi goreng ayam (fried chicken and rice) in the food hall used by the airport staff for 3quid and then spent the rest of our budget on ice cold Tiger beer (priorities in order for the holiday!).

Glad we came in to use the free internet as I've just received an email to confirm our flight tomorrow morning as been moved half an hour earlier!

After all that travelling we are very relaxed, and getting back to the pace of life in a country that enjoys 27c temperatures at 23:00.
