For Ben's birthday we decided to get out of the city and go kayaking on the river Danube! We went to Romaifurdo which is about an hour on the train. After a nice walk along the river we found some guys renting kayaks and set off with a rather old suspicious looking kayak! So we managed a few miles down stream before we got carried off with the current and hit some rocks! Whoops! After getting laughed at by some old guys and a lot of cursing we manged to back on track and fought our way back to where we started! We were both soaked and decided to give up with the kayak and sunbathe instead! We had hekk fish and chips for lunch which is a river fish caught in the Danube, it was pretty tasty actually although not a patch on the fish and chips in Plymouth!

In the evening we went to our favourite bar - Szimpla with some friends and celebrated Ben's birthday together! We finished up in Godor (this translates to 'pit') a rather funky club underground  in the middle of a roundabout! Great night!
