15th Jul 2012 - A South Korean Summer...
And it's still bloody raining
This weekend we were supposed to go to Pohang and chill out on the beach all day but alas it is still raining and we do not fancy sitting in the rain so we stayed at home and tried to come up with some fun rainy day activities.
So watching films and sleeping was fun for Saturday but the tiny flat was making us stir crazy! Our friends Jason and Sara suggested going to the big Expo building downtown as there was an art exhibition on. This seemed to be a good option so off we went! Check out how cultural we are! It was actually an exhibition of the French artist Yann Arthus-Bertrand’s work – he does “The earth from above” photos which are really cool, we saw some of his work randomly in Plymouth city centre and it’s really good. Check out the website: http://www.yannarthusbertrand2.org/ if you’re interested there are some really good photo’s of Korea from above.
It has literally not stopped raining and it is getting hotter and hotter too. Our school’s playground has turned into a mud pit which the kids are enjoying! I have taken a photo from my office window to try and capture the rainy view but it hasn’t come out very well!
