Les and Val's travels
 Monument valley, the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas Wonderful sights, we had a 90 minute flight over lake Powell and Monument Valley which was absolutely spectacular, must start watching old westerns again to see what I recognise! Then on to what I have waited for so many years to see - the Grand Canyon. I was prepared for it to be disappointing a bit like Stonehenge but not one little bit, it is huge and magnificent beyond imagination. It was a little hazy due to the fires in Arizona whichp are still raging apparently but still a fantastic sight and I took so many photos I nearly used up the sd card! Anyway then on to Las Vegas - from the sublime to the ridiculous indeed. It is sooooo hot here, 101 degrees yesterday and already 85 degrees at 8.30am, I am melting already! Will try to put photos on but Internet access difficult (and expensive!)
