Chris went out on a fishing trip on Saturday 12th with one of his colleagues, Paul, & his son Mitchell. I dropped Chris off in Manly at 7.30am where they were picking him up. I took Andrew back home for breakfast & then a nap before we headed back to Manly to meet up with Monica & Angela for lunch at the 'Manly Wharf Hotel". I said goodbye to them at 2pm before walking along to meet Chris when he arrived back from his fishing trip. They had a good time & managed to catch a few fish as well.

Sunday 13th was my first Mother's Day so Chris got up with Andrew & took him for a walk to let me have a lie in. When they came back they had brought me a lovely card & bouquet of Lillie's. We had invited Peter, Christine & their baby Andrew (8 months old) for lunch. It was really nice to see them again & Chris made us a lovely roast beef lunch.

I took Andrew along to my Aqua Fit class on Tuesday 15th - I enjoyed it, as always & Andrew had a good time with the other babies.

Mothers Group on Thursday 17th was at the cinema again. There were only 3 of us, with babies, but the film was good ("Five Year Engagement") & Andrew was well behaved this time.

I went in to work on Friday 18th as one of my friends, Sarah, was over from the US working for a few days & I had arranged to meet her for lunch. Sarah & her fiance, Jeremy, had worked in Sydney for a year before moving back to Kansas City last October so she hadn't met Andrew yet. We were joined for lunch in North Sydney by one of the girls from work (Erin) & also another friend, Lisa (who is the wife of a colleague) & her 3 month old baby, Lily. 

On Saturday 19th we went to Michael's for a BBQ (one of Chris' colleagues). The usual guys & their wives were there so it was another good evening, in good company. 

We met up with Dawn, Phil & Georgia for coffee on Sunday 20th before going for  a walk & then stopping off at the 'Dee Why RSL' for lunch on the way home.

Sam & I went to Aqua Fit on Tuesday 22nd - Andrew & Lili were good as usual. We went again on Thursday  24th & this time we were joined by two other girls from Mother's Group (Jodhi & Maria). Andrew had had his 6 month vaccinations in the morning & had been really good.

On Friday 25th I had some of the girls from Mother's Group round with the babies for morning tea. There were six of us (plus the babies) so it was a bit crowded but we had a really nice time.

We had Andrew's new car seat fitted on Saturday 26th before going for lunch at the 'Terrace on Pittwater' at Newport with John & Vikki. Andrew was really well behaved & we managed to have a lovely leisurely 3 hour lunch.

On Sunday 27th we met Monica & Angela for lunch at Balmoral Beach. We had fish & chips on the pier in the winter sun before going for a walk. 

Sam & I went to a post natal boot camp on Monday 28th - it was really hard but we enjoyed it & the babies were good. Unfortunately Andrew wasn't well & I ended up taking him to the Doctor's in the afternoon. He had a virus but there was nothing they could do for him. Thankfully he was much better the next day.

I went to Aqua Fit on Thursday 31st with Sam.

On Friday 1st May I headed in to the city with Andrew to meet up with Ildi, Robyn, Rabbani & Nabilah for lunch. I took Andrew for a walk afterwards before meeting up with Carly at 4pm. She had come up to Sydney for meetings & had decided to stay on for the night to visit us. We took the ferry back to Manly (Andrew's first time) & then got the bus home. Chris had started stand by & was late home so Carly & I had dinner, shared a bottle of wine & watched a film after Andrew went to bed & before Chris got home at 10pm.

Carly, Chris, Andrew & I went down to the beach for breakfast on Saturday 2nd which was really nice. Unfortunately Chris was called out just as the food arrived so as soon as we got back home he had to get changed & head to work.  An hour later Carly headed to the Airport for her flight to Melbourne.

Chris was called out every day he was on standby & I had a busy week getting ready for our trip.
