Fresh morning, time for a bike ride. Paderno sits on the big river Adda. It is a beautiful wide river teeming with wild fowl birds and fish and huge blue dragon flies. It is greenish colour in the dazzling sunlight.There is a great cycling track that goes on and on for miles. I headed towards Lecco and the mountains with the great Italian lakes of Como etc.The noise of the birds and the humming of insects was deafening as i cycled, a bit like going thru a jungle. I passed other cyclists and walkers, at one point I had to laugh as two midaged cyclists, both men I think, had to almost stop, as I had, thru a narrow section of the track, as I passed, the second one I noticed he was loosing his balance; he then just keeled over into what looked like nettles ! I had to keep moving as it was too narrow to dally. I heard him crash into the undergrowth, nettles with lots of expletives....I couldnt do anything so I carried on my way....I will try and posyt some photos of this magnificent ride; all in all it was 20 miles.
