Tennant Creek Here we stayed at the Outback Caravan Park at $35 per night it was the dearest we have paid so far. The amenities were good/clean and well maintained they had 3 sets through out the park and a separate set for the pool area. They had free entertainment in the bar area for happy hour and then at 7pm the bush tucker man was on over at the fire pit with a cost of $5 payable direct to him. He was very entertaining and full of knowledge about the bush, worth the $5. We went up to Battery Hill Mining Centre and Visitors information and thought we would do the free tour but they had cancelled them due to illness so you could only go to certain areas on your own which were the Social history Museum and Feedom, Fortitude & Flies. From there we headed out to the Bill Allen lookout, the Catholic Church, Lake Mary Ann, The Telegraphy station and Kunjarra also called the Pebbles. Out at the Pebbles we found that you can free camp there are toilets there and it is well off the main road and quite peaceful, if we were coming through again we agreed we would stop there.
