Marree

We stayed at the free camp area next to the pub, showers cost $2.00 toilets were free.

On our way to Marree we collected the rest of the Old Ghan dog spikes that Doug wanted he intends to make us and Steve & Gail a coat rack from them.

As we were travelling through to Marree we stopped at Lake Ayre South, smaller than the main lake but worth a look.

Since we last stayed at Marree 2 years ago a lot has changed, the general store and one caravan park have been borough out by a nice guy he has installed a bakery and makes all his own bread/cakes etc. they were very nice.

He has also built a Motel next to the general store, and on the other side of the line is all these huts for people who come just to fly over Lake Ayre.

With Lake Ayre having water in it for so long it has borough a lot of money and improvements to Marree.
