YEP, me again!!! Hi all, yes I'm sorry it's me AGAIN!! Whilst the aim of this blog was to get the kids to update at the end of every day, we don't get back to the hotel until late and they're busted and asleep before I can get the computer fired up!! We've had a GREAT last few days in Delray Beach. We arrived mid afternoon Monday, then had dinner with a school friend of mine on Monday night (on a balcony at a restaurant on the esplanade with a MASSIVE thunderstorm show going on, which was entertaining in it/self). It was GREAT to catch up with Renae and meet her husband Chris (who is Australian) and their 3yo daughter Kenzie (who has an Aussie/US/Sth African/UK accent). Renae and I haven't seen each other for 20 years, but you would have thought it was yesterday - picked up from where we left off. Kenzie was VERY taken by Clay and was loving cuddles from Elly, which was very cute. Yesterday, we enjoyed our first sleep in for a VERY long time!!! We then hit the road (again) headed north to see the sights of West Palm Beach and Jupiter (where Robert Allenby lives - for those of you who know us, you'll know why we went there). Robert wasn't home, 'cause he's playing in the British Open, but we did our darndest to get as close to his house as possible!!! It was then back to Delray to drop off Mum, Dad, and Todd who had opted for a "sightseeing tour" via boat. Well, well, well, let me tell ya Todd's gonna get rich playing soccer and buy a few of the homes they saw on their tour! Oprah Winfrey, Donald Trump, etc etc all have $28m+ homes here (and they are only holidays homes which they reckon they only use for 2 weeks a year - pffft might need a house cleaner for the rest of the time - I'm there??????) While they were sightseeing, the gawjuss Renae picked up Elly and I and off we went to TJ Maxx, a massive CHEAP dept store where we bought the most ridiculously priced things! DC Tshirts for my boys were $5.00 (for those of you who don't know, I buy these T's at home for about $45)!!! So ..... two HUGE shopping bags, and two smaller bags (and only $400DB) later, off we went home. Renae dropped us home at 630pm in time for a quick shower and then it was in a taxi headed for their place for a BBQ. It was like we've never lost contact and Chris got on with Mark and Dad like a house on fire. Mark is moving here ........ well that's his latest claim!!! Today saw us leave Delray Beach at noon (had a MASSIVE sleep in after a big night out). Confidently navigated our way bypassing Miami and into the Florida keys. How picturesque this place is! Arrived at our Holiday Inn (Marathon) at around 330pm, just in time to dump the bags, head to the marina out back to organise a fishing trip for the boys (Friday morning), and then into the bar for happy hour!!!! Had dinner tonight at the Marina (average), and then back to the hotel to Skype Uncle Glenn tonight (VERY exciting for the kids)!!!! And very funny to see him all rugged up in his warm gear, when we are wearing Summer pjs!!! We are all very excited for tomorrow. Off to the Turtle Hospital in the morning, and then to the Dolphin Research Centre at noon for our Dolphin Encounter ....... looking forward to the dorsal fin tow!!! Off to Key West on Friday afternoon, after Pop & Todd have gone fishing. Will update you again frotm Key West, lotsa luv, The Rogers & Saunders xxxxooo BTW ... Terry wanted to buy you a Greg Norman drifit golf shirt at TJ Maxx (but wasn't sure of your size) - $13.99!!! Bought Mark Pebble Beach golf shorts $12.99!! Mark's moving here, for the prices and the temperature ! 18 cans of Bud beer $14.00 and chicken fillets are $4.50/kg (skin off - no option for skin on!!!).
