Fr Tom and Philip's pilgrimage
|
Capranica to Campagnano di Roma A decent bed & breakfast once in a while does you good. The host, Paolo, is an architect & his wife a mean cook. We took his advice & did the first few kilometres in a wooded valley rather than along the main road - which was wonderful but cost us time. during the day we met Brian Mooney, who wrote the book 'A long way for a pizza'. He's now doing the walk in reverse, so he must really have got the bug. We met too the 30 pupils from Oundel School who are having an experiece of the Via Francigena. (cf the message board) they're having quite a powerful experience of Italy!
