yes, you will all be excited,  thrilled and wetting your panties with sheer heart-pounding exhiliration when i tell you that the olympic torch has finally arrived in edinburgh!

it crossed the forth bridge in roller-blades around 5pm, thereby causing total traffic chaos, as the bridge was closed for 30 minutes to all those who were merely trying to get home after a hard day at the office.  it then wound its way into the city, closing roads and diverting bus routes at the busiest time of the day, what an honour for us plebian edinburgers to have our journey home increased by 40 minutes by such a tremendous symbol of togetherness and human spirit! how gratified the managers and staff of greggs shops along the torch's route must feel, to be able to stay open till 7pm tonight, and to have to be in work at 5am tomorrow to open for 6, in case it gets a bit peckish! oh, how i wish it was passing my shop..no doubt i will wake up at 4.15 and cry with jealousy when i think of those lucky enough to be getting up to feed the torch! 

but, alas, i will have to stay in bed, with morpheus as my only comfort!

it is now ensconced in the castle...i know this as the constant buzz of helecopters which has been going on for 2 hours has finally stopped, and you will be pleased to hear that it is being thrown a party, and given a concert in its honour with a plethora of young british musicians you will never have heard of unless you listen to crappy comercial edinburgh radio stations all day..and who does that? 

so there you have it...olympic fever comes to edinburgh.

as for me, im so excited i may have to watch some more of twin peaks, or 24 on my newest internet obsession...netflix! it beats watching a fucking torch anyday!
