Pork and Chop's Travels!
21st Jul 2012 - 24th Jul 2012
Friends and Family in Sydney!

After the Blue Mountains we went and got a pie face.... amazing pie shops that are everywhere and then Rob and I made ourway to my friend Georgia's!! We were really looking forward to meeting up. They live in North Sydney so we got the train and they are double decker trains!!! Amazing! We got to hers and were all really excited! Georgia sat opposite me at work and she was planning to come away in October but just came out in April instead! So we went for a Nandos... really good but we all agreed UK has better Nandos lol. We went back to their place which is amazing and had an amazing view. We watched TV and were up talking until 2am. Then the next day we got up and had breakfast and Georgia had said there was an aroma festival on at The Rocks so we decided to go there, not after a woman pulled up whilst we were waiting for a cab and splashed us with a puddle and got us soaked! haha. We went walking through the Rocks and it was all Chrisatmas themed - like a mini Christmas festival - lots of decorations etc - they have a Christmas in July as it is so cold. I think the Irish invented it but they celebrate on 25th July too!We were walking around and had a cupcake which looked better than it tasted :( Just as we were walking around I heard a voice say Geena!? It was my friends from School!!!! Clare and Emma- we knew they were out here but we just hadn't got in touch! Was so unreal to just see them walking along the rocks!! We said we would meet up with them for sure when we are next in Sydney! :)
That afternoon we said goodbye to Max and Georgia and got another train to Gordon where Robs uncle's nephew David picked us up!! Was such a beautiful area of Sydney! All green and really nice people in all the local shops, was a real family town and you could see the children walking to school in their hats which are so cute. We met Renee and the two children Hannah and James who were sooooooooo nice and Hannah was letting us have her room so we were really thankful :) We were so excited because David said we were having Roast!! It was amazing!! The best dinner we hadso far!! :) Parsnips and everything! We learnt lots about Oz and Renee gave me a book to look through - the deadliest creatures in Australia - they actually have the deadliest spider - the funnel web spider living in their garden but its underground so not a problem - really interesting! We stayed up and watched some really funny TV and got introduced to their pets! Patrick and Spongebob the guinie pigs and Hannah's rabbit Carrots who was a real cute rabbit, they were inside for the winter and Carrots was a real house bunny - he would sait on Renees lap whilst watching the TV - Rob kept trying toplay with him but he didn't like Rob as much! hahah.
The next day we hogged the washing machine so we could wash all of our clothes! :) We spent the day relaxing which was soooo nice as we have to stay in dorms in Sydney with no TV so we gave in and watched Geordie Shore alllllllllllllllllll daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! hahahah. Was so nice to be in a nice warm house with TV and cups of tea! That evening we had amazing pasta Renee cooked and Hannah played trumpet for us - she is soooo good and is in the choir too! James likes to play the drums and so him and Rob were playing on his drum set :)
We absolutely loved staying with David Renee Hannah and James... and carrots and co!(Thankyouuuuu so much!!) Was such a nice area of Sydney and they invited us back for when we next go - hopefully it will be in the summer and we can go to all the national parks around and on the river and beaches! We laughed lots and had so much fun :) We were sad to be leaving :( we put on our nice clean clothes and then got a train to meet Nick and Lauren in town for our flight to Brisbane.
