Footy Update
One for the Carlton fan.

Steven Silvangi is to be a full time assisanct coach at St Kilda and Brendon Fevola is beig sent home from Ireland. All the details haven't emerged but evidently the Fev was refused service at a nightclub in Galway, took offence and got into some sort of altercation (don't know whether it was physical or verbal or both)and with the barman. The report I saw said the Galway police were investigating. Fevola was put on a plane back to Melbourne.

There you go.

G'day all
G'day all,
Once again indy sounds like it was a absolute benda, i think i'm definatly going to have to pencil it in for 2007, maybe i can get my jeans back off bombers (not the ones that were stolen in Bariloche, other ones). Thanks for the kind words Rhonda, it means a lot. Thanks for the updates dad, keep them coming as you hear them. Anyway guys have some new photos to put up, but they will have to wait for a little bit. Tomorrow departing the beautiful city of Florianopolis for Buenos Aires where we will jump on a plane for LA.
As most will probably know, we are cutting our trip short as somethings have come up and it has dawned on us that from the start we probably bit of my than we could chew. Anyway as my trip is nearing the end, thanks to all that took the time to have a look at my site, read my diary entries and write me some messages. Though some may seem insignificant they all mean a great deal to me and any news of home no matter how small it is, is always good to hear. Even the quickest of hello's has been much appreciated.

No big news, but there it is.

Hello Andrew and Dan
Hello Andrew and Dan

Good to get your news and updates. Again the fatherly advise; look after yourselves and mind your health.

We have a young chap at work about your age and has done a little bumming around the States. He was saying that the way to get the backpacker jobs in the US is to show up on the doorstep and to be available. Of course you have the expense of getting there and finding where to stay, etc, but backpacker's accommodation seems to be the usual answer.

That's it for now, time to go and see what;s on at the mess. No doubt being Friday, there wil be batter fish of some sort, but usually it is not the choicest species. You could successfully bet the desrt will consist of some type of tinned fruit (usuall peaches), either red, green or yellow jelly (sometimes all mixed and scrambled) and yellow custard. The custard is always yellow.

Cheers

Dad

Indy update
Hay mate,
well another indy goes by and along with is another 4 million brain cells. But as usaully well worth the sacrifice though i am still paying for it today and well work right not just isnt cricket. Indy again brought out the usuall suspects BOM, reedy, soz, scotto, giggles, benny, bretto, venus ect ect and it was great to catch up with everyone. Nathan came up with me for the first time he loved it and hit it hard with the boys, he and i some how found ourselfs in a corpourate box on friday with all the food and drink you could ever want needless to say it was rather large (we were guests of Bob Jane, met him to) the box was right on Narrow Neck on the back straight one of the best location i recon. Soz is good his band played friday night quite a big gig and heaps and heaps of people. Scotty is still floating around teaching surfing in surfers. anyway that is about as much info as i can extract from my malfunctioning brain apart from the fact that we drank about 80 beers on sunday, anyway mate i better try get some work done today so take care and i guess that i will be seeing you before X mas by the sounds of it

Hello all
G´day all.
Rio is so amazing, that we flaged going to Sao Paulo and stayed here for longer instead. Sao Paulo is apprently more expensive and dangerous anyway. Went to a soccer game last night, it was unreal, at maracana stadium (was the biggest in the world until recently, so i´m told, but i think the G is definatly bigger). Anyway the soccer was unreal, a whole group of us went and bought these shirts supporting the local team (they were really cool, but almost got us bashed on the train back after the game).
Good to hear from everyone and hear your news (Dodge, Jacko, and Jenny and Alan Gibson). Its awesome to hear news from home. Anyway i will be home around mid december at this stage, didn´t hear anything about jobs in Canada, and the money was getting low, so when our boss from DSE offered us our jobs back, we decided we´d come home work the summer and then come back and finish the rest of our trip. Lucky for us when can change our flight dates for free, becasue in the last month we´ve change them about 10 times.
Heading to these massive waterfalls tomorrow, i know the name, but there is no way i´d be able to spell it right so i won´t even try. After that it´s on to Floriopolis and then Buenos Aires where we fly to LA.
Take care everyone and keep sending me news.

Love your diary!
Hello Andy and Dan,

Love your diary AND your photos! It sounds and looks like you're having a great adventure - oh to be young, free and backpacking around the world again! No, I think I enjoy my hot showers too much. We have to be content with sedate walks on the beach at Jan Juc now. Well we are geting on. It's not that bad though, went for a nice walk from Pt. Addis to Bells Beach (well, nearly) last weekend. Took the dog and she had a great time, we smuggled her into the caravan the night before (dogs not allowed, but this rule very loosely upheld) and she slept between us. She's like our baby - speaking of which, did you know we are grandparents now? Brent and Elise had a little boy in June. Anyway, that's all our news, look forward to the rest of your journey. Soon be Christmas, will you be home by then? Love Jenny and Alan.
