Mission No.1 completed!
Hi Ian Through the big gates at 5.50a.m.today(now 11.35p.m.), but thought you needed to hear about tench warfare sooner rather than later! With an older volunteer, caught 11 decent sized tench , 6 rudd, 1 crucion carp and a large goldfish-all now in the bigger lake.Overcast and wet(the weather!), I fished the deepest part as usual but with a shorter depth...and ended up catching nearly all.I need to cut back the reds etc. which were a pain, as you know, and we aim to get back there soon.Your gear was excellent, of course, and l used worm most of the time. Hope you are coping O.K...looking forward to hearing your views on the world after your year!Do look after yourself..Carol and Graeme.

Making contact!
Hi young'n'.Hope you are o.k.We are fine;now minus daughter and litter....excellent!However, stress of a different kind-Andy, 23 year old son, phoned from German/Swiss border to say had just kayaked down the Rhine Falls!(biggest waterfall in Europe)+met by Police at 'bottom'. Mere Sands today-cracking sunny day as created a new viewing position to the left of the entry board walk. The fish said hello for the first time-lots of them!Hopefully I'll get a partner for a "mission"in the near future. When are you due back-can, t believe how the time has passed;hope it's been, at least, mainly positive for you. With our love C.and G.

Weather!
Hello Ian Good to see the changeable weather happens in Africa as well as England. We are enjoying a sunny spell at the moment but it's due to turn cold again later this week. The poor flowers and plants don't know what's hit them recently as it's so different from one week to the next. Glad to hear about your continuing African adventures. Please let me know how we can pay our charity money to the Armani Home as it seems silly to leave it in the bank over here when it can be put to such good use over there. Just Giving? A cheque? What do you think? Thanks Gill x

| Hi Ian Wet, windy and chilly, but at least the days are getting lighter!Do hope you are o.k.was in your village(in u.k.!), yesterday, chainsawing a load of logs for a couple new to the place; sun beating down, a light breeze.Similar to where you are, no doubt! House now "empty", just Carol and me-excellent!Mere Sands tomorrow for a course on fresh water inhabitants.Less slashing and burning on Thursdays now that nesting time is upon us.The chainsaw has been busy there also, following some fierce winds some weeks back.
