Your Travels
Hi Kirsty,

I have finally managed to get through my blog posts after coming back from holiday. It was great to read about your family's visit and I look forward to meeting up with them to hear all about it.

If you feel you are going to miss Chinese food when you return, I can recommend Chop Chop on Morrison Street. It's northern chinese and, as you'll know, completely different from the gloop the cantonese restaurants normally dish up. Instead, there are lots of noodes, salads and dumplings. I love it so I'd be interested to know how authentic it is.

Anyway, it has been great to catch up on your travels and look through your photos. My favourite picture was the one of Suse holding up that T-2 offsuit. Despite holding one of the worst possible starting hands in Texas Hold'em, she somehow manages an expression of cool dominance. Has she any plans for the professional circuit?

Rab.

SHANGHAI!!!!!!
Kirsty!!!
YOu are in Shanghai!!!!!
Im soooo jealous.

You have to promise me to go to, if you get the chace, the Hyatt on the Bund. The bar on the top floor has the most INCREDIBLE VIEW OF SHANGHAI! Its the Best view in the whole city but not many people know that! Its free to get in but id definetly recomend the Mango and Rum cocktail!
Did i mention it has an outdoor jacuzzi on the top floor...i want to live there!!!!

Also try No. 12 on the bund - its free to get in and you probably dont have to buy any drinks and its got good view too.
For night clubs try DkDs or Bonbons - both on Huaihai lu i think? 100Y to get in but open bar all night!
What other plans have you got? email/facebook me.
I truly am very jealous.

Did you know im in costa rica right now!?

“Always watch where you are going.
Otherwise, you may step on a piece of the Forest that was left out by mistake".....(Pooh Bear)

Thank you for keeping us in the UK up to date. Landslides, floods and earthquakes? I think that was a good call to avoid them and change your plans and I hope your new plans provide pleasant surprises. I think Danni is really going to miss you. I hope you told the annoying boy you met just how irritating his behaviour was?? He needs to know!

Yes, Janet, heavy hints please! (On Suse's blog page maybe???!!!) Although I actually spoke to her on the phone yesterday - I suspect whilst Kirsty was updating - and she was sorting out travel to Col and to Edinburgh. You have the pleasure of her company for a few nights, I believe. They sounded well inspite of the long, long journey back to Tianshui. Fortunately the water is back on at the flat!

Travelling
Good update, Kirst, and sounds like your visit to Danni's was interesting - I'm impressed she's already picked up lots of pupils, but hope she didn't find leaving Tianshui too difficult. Look forward to hearing about the rest of your travels - and seeing Susie's next blog (now I've met her I feel I can drop heavy hints!).

Parents' visit
Good blog Kirsty - packed with information. Sounds like you had quite a week! I hope your plans go well for the last leg of your PT year. You will know to stay away form the far north west by now. Try to keep us informed because we love reading your blogs!!!!!!!!
