Hi
Dear Susie, I hope that you are feeling a little better now that you have such "luxuries" as hot water and in house toilets. All the same, a remarkable experience and it sure does make one appreciate how lucky we are. Hope the last leg of your return trip home is blissfully uneventful. Love you lots, Mom

Hi Susie, I am glad that you finally have some hot water and other luxuries. We went to Jake's baptism yesterday and Grandma T got to see a little of your site until grandpa decided it was time to go home. Jon got married to Heidi a couple of weeks ago, so I am off congratulate them at Ed's place in Newport. I hope you get a little chance to rest before school starts. Love, dad

Hi Susie, If you can work some humor into your transportation saga you might have the makings of a great movie... national lampoon African Vacation. Hope everything goes smooth from here on. Love, dad

Poor baby!
My poor baby! Sounds worse than a LA traffic jam! Ashley and Maddy are home. Maddy toddled at break neck speed from one room to another to make sure everything was where she left it! I imagine that you will just collapse and sleep for a day (maybe 2) when you get home. Ashley looks great but very tired. Maddy is almost as big as she is! Went back to work today. Our scores are up so life is beautiful! I am looking forward to working with the munchkins and the preschool teacher is great so it should be a good year. Enjoy the rest of your trip. Hope that getting from point A to point B becomes a little easier from now on out. Love, Mom

Enjoying your site!
Hi Susie! I hope you are having a good time in Africa! I read about your travel experiences, you are one patient girl. I dont know if I could handle it, but hopefully its all wort it. I went over to see Grandma and Grandpa last week and they showed me all of the post cards you sent, thye had them all stacked up to show all of their visitors. I espically like the open where you told the story about everyone wanting to take pictures with the blonde american girl! Stay safe! Love, Megan and Jake

Hi Susie - just got done reading your posting re: your travels to Mali; you will probably never see life the same after this! I'm anxious to hear from you what they all think of the blonde woman from New York. Jake is getting baptized on Saturday and the family is coming over so we will pull up your website and make sure everyone gets a look at it - especially Grandma! We are hoping Mady can come so we can see her - I'll tell your Mom to bring her swimming suit so she can take her in the pool! Lotsa love - be safe! Aunt Sharon

Roughing it

Hello from Upland
Sounds like you are really livin in the elements now! A 24 hour bus ride - was it at least one of those luxurious buses with little TVs and cushy seats? I probably think not! Your pictures look like you are in paradise - at least the ones you posted! Lotsa love and as always, be safe!

AFRICA
Hi Susie, 24 hours on a bus!!! You will never complain about air travel again. The slave trade tour should be very interesting and sad at the same time. Grandma T is still having trouble seeing your web page at the library. She really appreciates the post cards that you have sent. All your traveling is getting me in trouble with your Mother. I took her to an Italian restaurant with a copy of the tr vi fountain and she said it wasn't the same as going to Europe on vacation. Some people are never satisfied. Love Dad
