Life in Brisbane Howdy peeps, So not a lot exciting has happened in Brisbane, but I thought i`d best update this just in case you think i`ve vanished off the face of the earth ;0) So me and Andrew have moved into our little flat now, our Ozzie address is 21 Chester Street, Highgate Hill, Brisbane, 4101 (if any of you wanna send prezzies, ha ha joke)! It`s a decent little place that`s grown on us a lot. It`s just got a little living room with a balcony coming off of it, and a bedroom. It`s nice to be able to watch a bit of TV again, and cook our own meals - it`s DEFINITELY better than staying in a hostel. We had some wicked neighbours called Rob and Nicola but they have moved out now, they haven`t left Brisbane though so that`s nice that we can still meet up with them for a few drinks or the cinema and stuff. Our place is up a massive hill though which is the only bummer, I dread the walk home from the city ha ha, no really it`s not that bad...we have quite a nice walk into town, we have to cross the Goodwill Brisge over the river, and then through the lovely grounds of the University of Queensland in Southbank. Work-wise, hmmm... the agency found me a job working for a mining company called Comalco for 4 days, it was good but i`m hoping they`ll come up with something a bit longer term soon, fingers crossed! It was nice to work for those 4 days though, i was just sorting out some of their files and stuff but it was good to have something to do during the day. Today we took a walk down to Brisbane`s man made beach, it`s actually really lovely. The water is crystal clear somehow, and the sand is nice, it`s only small but it`s a lovely thing to have so close to us. There are people properly sunbathing their in their bikini`s and stuff which is a bit odd in the city but it`s a lovely area and there are loads of flowers and funky little cafe`s! So that`s it really folks, will mail again with some updates when we have some. Peace out. Debs xxx
