Wooloomooloo This is the place we stopped in. It had far too many o`s for it to be natural but it was nice. The weather had improved a bit, seemingly George brought it with him from Venice beach, CA. The week was nice as George was with us and we had not seen him for ages about 10months! We did lots of tourist things and drank lots of very cheap wine... We saw the sites of Sydney, which there are too many to name I am afraid, so the concentration will be on the few that stood out. One day the sun was shining, he really did have his haton and was encouraging us to play. We took this off up with enthusiasm and took the ferry to Manly. Manly is a small area about 30mins boat trip form Sydney Harbour. It is famous within the area as it is excellent for surfing, walking and fish and chips. A good combo. I am sure you will all agree. We ran around like children with our tops off and made things out of sand. Pictures will be supplied at a later date. It was funny as all the locals had jackets and gloves on whilst we ran around topless thinking it warm, silly English types... We went to the Sydney aquarium which was one of my favourite things on the trip so far. We saw a platipus, lots of coral and coral fish, sharks, rays, seals, crocs, snakes, lizards, lobsters, starfish, sea horses, all the fish from finding nemo, learned how to tell a croc from a gaitor and other wonderful amd informative things... We had a trip to the Opera house to see a classical performance called Stars and Planets which centred around Holts` Planets, believ it or not. The line up was good but the sound was terrible. I had read that, although the Opera house is world famous the accoustics are not very good for a Opera house. This unfortunately was true. Individual sounds from the stage were not distinguishable and the sounds were not crisp at all. Still it was a very enjoyable evening and we were all glad we had been to see a show in one of the main theatres of the place.
