Raindrops keep falling on my head - encore

Shorter coach journey to Byron Bay which is a tiny town with a population of around 5000 that is apparently full of hippies. Can`t say we seen many hippies but an icredible amount of backpapers and travel agencies selling backpapers various trips and excursions.

First night in Byron involved a trip across the street to Cheeky Monkey`s Party Bar and Restaurant. I think you can guess by the name what kind of a place it was. Nevertheless what was meant to be a couple of pints turned into staying out till after 2am. Good job too as it turned out that you could hear the music from this bar in our dorm room.

The next day and the weather had taken a dramatic turn for the worse compared to Coffs. Very overcast and raining a lot. Not a lot to do with the weather like this so we set about going round the travel agents to arrange our trips to Fraser Island and the Whitsundays.

Apart from getting drenched on occasion and also waking up at stupid o`clock in the morning to watch the England vs Sweden game (5 am kick off over here, nice) the highlight off Byron was walking around to the lighthouse. On the way we went past a small cove with a couple of schools (not sure if that is the correct collective name or not) of dolphins playing in the surf. On this walk we also made it to the most Eastern point of Australia.
