Mexico baby!
8th Aug 2006Back to Acapulco - by way of Taxco so went to Taxco yesterday on the way from cuernavaca. it was really great. too great really, could spend forever there buying jewellery...we kept getting lost and discovering another cheap silver market...sooo not good for the auld bank balance but completely worth it! but then came trouble....we ended up aiming to get the bus at 6.40 to go to acapulco but it hadnt come by 8.30 so we were like lets go to another town and get the bus from there...it eventually arrived at 9.30 (only 3hours late!) but it was the worst bus i have ever been on!! it was supposed to be first class and it was even worse than the oldest bus eireann buses!! normally theyre all really nice buses but this one was a complete nightmare! glad it was the last one though, couldnt cope if it hadnt been...so as a result we arrived in acapulco at 2am, much fun. hte hostel is grand though and is a hell of a lot cheaper than the hotel we stayed in when we got here first. cos its the last day though gonna take it pretty easy, its a bit cloudy so might just go to the beach and sit in hte shade...have seen foreigners though so obviously we are in the gringo part of acapulco - finally! at least in htis part we wont get too badly stared at! flying to NYC tomorrow so if ppl want me to get stuff, please email me a list. not getting home til sun morning which is a wee bit of a shame as im well aware that the dublin match is on sat! knew i hsould have booked the flights myself! hey at least i get to see laois play, right? btw, michelle, aoife, dont overtax yourselves too much on sat night cos i want to party thru my jetlag! (am gonna try and go straight to croker from the airport, should be possible right??) okay, since i dont have a lot of time left cos the hostel seems to think it can charge me $1 an hour id better leave off there. next post will be from NYC - eek!
