Gary+Jess:Its a Mini Adventure

Los Angeles and the Psychic Cat...

We arrived in LA having managed to get past customs and immigration with all their stupid questions. Surprisingly I have nothing to do with Nazi Germany, and I have not once denied custody of a child to an american awarded with said custody.

After that amusement it was on to the YHA in Santa Monica, which was good. Nice and clean and well organised. Having settled in we had a wander down to the beach. "Its a bit like Blackpool" was Jess` first impression of LA. Having done that we went back into town for dinner at a good little pizzeria with a balcony overlooking the main street for a spot of people/weirdo watching. One of the weirdos in question was a man who claimed to have a psychic cat who could foretell the future. We felt this kind of summed up LA quite nicely.

The following day we headed to Hollywood to look at the stars and get a photo of `the sign`. We spent a few hours walking up and down Hollywood Blvd. getting photos of many many stars. We even got a star dedicated to Chuck Norris...magic. We headed back after a traditional american meal in MacDonalds in time for a look around the mall. Having bought two lollies and had them gift wrapped we headed back to the YHA for our airport shuttle.

After a short wait and long flight we arrived back to dear old blighty safe and sound. So I guess thats all folks! This is Gary and Jess, signing off.
