I just adore the yoga crew. I`m getting very flexible, thank you.

Siviananda Ashram I`m there

I`ve got myself locked into an ashram for two weeks. I was pretty miserable when I got there. I was hot and tired from travelling. I met a lovely couple on the bus though. Norwegian and Austalian. Reminding me again that I love Australia and Scandanavia. Checking into the ashram I got assigned a dorm which has the bathroom outside. Meaning that every time I pee I leave with thirty mosquito bites on my ass. There were holes in my mosquito net and I was exhausted. Not a happy camper. And it is camping. Then I go to Satsung (which is the evening chant and meditation) where there is a man in an orange robe and we chant "Hare Krishna" among other things. And I thought "Oh God, I`m in the Hare Krishna cult." I`m going to shave my head and dance around at the Symphony of Fire while teenagers throw eggs at me. And then I giggled to myself. It is not a crazy Hare Krishna cult though. I don`t think. You can tell me if I start being weird.

I`ve been doing four hours of yoga every day. Plus, 3 to 4 hours of chanting and meditation. Plus service. I`ve met amazing people here. The diet is really strict and I feel super healthy. I`ve discovered that Yoga makes me have one of four reactions. I start to cry, get really angry, get really horny, or get very relaxed. Thankfully I get relaxed more than any of the other reactions. I`m having a pretty good time. Though sometimes the chanting can be a bit much, it pours rain and the mosquitos are makin me insane, I really enjoy the people and the yoga. Some of the girls and I escaped today (free day) after yoga to come to Trivandrum. We`ve eaten and used the internet. Hallulujah.

Not much else to report. The days are pretty much the same.

5:20: Wake up bell
6:00: Chanting and meditation
7:30: Tea
8:00: Yoga
10:00: Brunch
11:00: Lecture
12:30: Karma Yoga
1:30: Tea
2:00: Optional coaching
3:30: Yoga
6:00: Dinner
6:30 to 8: Almost everyone usually has tea in the health hut
8:00: Chanting and Meditation
10:00: Lights out

So, you can see why I don`t have much to report. I feel really good. This experience is well worth the annoying bits. Let`s hope I don`t eat my words in about a week...
