Heyo!!

Sorry its taken me so long to write, but cheap internet cafes are notoriously difficult to find in Vegas!!

When I finally met everyone off the plane (I had been waiting there over and hour while their plane just sat out on the runway not letting anyone off!) there were suprisingly no tears, I think it was because Mam and Will were desperate for a smoke!! It was all very surreal seeing them again, it was like I had never been away! Anyway after the rigmarole of getting to the hire car place, getting the car ( a mahoosive SUV thing) and finding the hotel - which was a little way down the street but we still managed to get lost - we got into our rooms and crashed for a while before heading to good ole Dennys for something to eat. We decided to try and check out Hollywood that night - not a good idea when you`ve been on a 11 hr flight and the directions are basically two lines on a piece of paper with a bit of scribble next to it suppose to be the street names! But we did finally make it after 2 hours of driving!! We had a little look but promised to come back the next day to check it all out properly, which we did but this time we got there in 40minutes! Once we had taken our photos with Gandalf and Chubacca we headed back to the hotel to meet Hazel and Bob before driving to Vegas.

After about 4 hours of driving we made it to Vegas, found our hotel - OMG the luxury of a king size bed in an ensuite room of my own!! - and crashed out for the night so we`d be fresh to hit the strip the next day. We didnt really have any plans though and looking back on it now we really should have done!! We hit a few souvenir shops first, checked out the multi coloured M&Ms shop - they have purple here! -I got my photo taken with the CocaCola Polar Bear (it growled at me....eep! ) and hit Aladdin (a casino) where I immeadiately got IDd, the first of many many times!! After a look around we headed off to find somewhere to eat so we could hit the strip at night when it really comes to life! This was pretty much the thing for the rest of the week - shop during the day, casinos at night although we did go to a few during the day when we were shopped out! We checked out all the major casinos - MGM Grand, New York New York (where I won $25! - thats good when u only bet a $1 at a time!), Excalibur, Luxor etc. None of us came out of the holiday up in money but we did have plenty of experiences to take back! We went on a few rollercoasters - they are built in and out of the casino buildings themselves - and even saw a few circus acts in Circus Circus. I got to see some fabulous water fountain shows, go to the top of the Eiffel Tower, walk through a pyramid, pose with Brad Pitt (ok he was a wax model...)and even see a Broadway show with a Vegas twist - Phantom of the Opera - sooo good!! I even got dressed up on Halloween and went out in public with fairy wings, a wand and a tiara. I got some funny looks that night and was IDd 3 times in one timy casino downtown!
