The Most Easterly Point in Australia

It has so much to offer. We decided to take a two-day vacation from our vacation in Surfer`s. We`re serious. We headed to Byron Bay, one hour South of Surfer`s, with our friends Christie (An American friend from our first week in Surfer`s) and Justin (The crazy guy from Zimbabwe).

We had beautiful weather and the beaches were amazing. We spent most our time at one beach that gave us constant waves for surfing and body boarding. The best part about the water was that we could see the bottom even 15 yards out.

To end our first night in Byron, we walked up to The Cape Byron Lighthouse. It was a long hike, but the views were definitely worth the trek. We stayed for the sunset, watched some waves hit the cliffs below us, then walked back down the beach under the moonlight - very romantic.

We had another day at the beach, and spent a great night in town eating and drinking at the pubs. It was a welcome change from the daily hassles in Surfer`s (you know, when to wake up and go to the beach).

We will add photos as soon as we scan our own, and get the rest from Christie back in the States.

We will keep all of you up-to-date with our Christmas and New Year`s plans. As of right now, we will spend Christmas in Surfer`s, then move out of our apartment on December 28th. We will head down to Sydney for New Year`s where we will meet some friends for the holidays. We want you all to know we will be thinking about you during the Holidays.

We also want to say congratulations to all our friends who have graduated this past week back at KU. For those of you who aren`t ready to grow up, come on down. We will be waiting. We`re not kidding.

No Worries.
