See ya Surfer's Paradise

We have to say, we met a lot of amazing people who changed our lives. We will never forget you all, and we hope to see many of you again in our travels.

We packed our bags and headed down the coast for the next leg of our journey. We stopped for a day trip in Port Macquarie which is located a few hundred kilometers North of Sydney. We drove in on one of the most beautiful sunrises - the sky was bright orange and there was a thick fog over the water (unfortunuately no picture). We got into town at 5:30 a.m. with Nate and Matt (two of our American friends) and found a place to put our stuff for the day. We first visited the breakwall, which people have been painting on for a few decades. We made our mark with the following quote on a lone rock: "You only live once. But if you do it right, once is enough." Thanks, Cory for the great piece of advice - now it`s permanently placed here in Australia. Next, we headed off to a koala hospital just West of town. We saw a few koalas in the middle of much inactivity, but it was still great to see the little guys up close. Then it was off to the beach for a few hours where we all took naps in the sand. Finally we hopped on a bus and continued on to Sydney. . .
