 Goodbye to NZ (for this visit) So, I`m back in Base Backpackers in Auckland, where I started my NZ adventure all those months ago. I spent 2 and a bit weeks in Christchurch in the Kiwi House. 1st impressions of Christchurch (which were not good) have completely been replaced and once again I was sad to leave when the time came. Flo and I settled in to our new home quickly and made heaps of friends from the far flung corners of the earth. We ate traditional cooked meals from Japan, Slovakia, Hungary and South America and drank far too much beer (which seems to be a worldwide phenomena). We also visited lots of places of interest within the Canterbury area. I have learned a bit of Spanish over the last few weeks and can now offend pretty much any Spanish or Portugese Speaking person (usually unintentionally, but i think its an achievement anyway!!) I left Christchurch and Flo on Tuesday after lots of goodbyes and Beth even drove to Christchurch from Akaroa early, especially to see me off which was lovely. I couldn`t leave NZ without a final trip back to Welli, so I caught the ferry back and had a couple of Days staying at crazy`s flat and then at Sonya and Chops` just to even things out. Once again we drank beers (gonna miss Speights and summer ale), ate a last few "wholly bagels" and said a few more goodbyes. I have a flight booked to Fiji on Sunday morning which is very exciting... bit of sun, sea and sand is just what I need!!! I shall see u all very shortly, so chao for now!!
