My Turn!
12th Jun 2007
Portsmouth... mmm... beautiful!

After being a little reluctant to leave my new favourite city.. Boston, I arrived in Portsmouth on Monday night. However, as soon as I saw my old friend Jill, Boston was soon left in the depths of my mind. I`d forgotten how beautiful small New England towns were and Portsmouth certainly is picture postcard stuff!
Soon after Jill picked me up we were at Pocos on the dock, sipping cocktails, eating quesidillas and catching up on 7 years worth of goss...

Jill, her husband and daughter (none of which were around when we first met!) have the most lovely house in a sensational neighbourhood... surrounded by farmland, carefully manicured gardens and just a kinda "Wisteria Lane" kinda feel (without the murders and dramas of course!) so you can imagine how chilled out it`s been.

Today we looked at the mansions along Hampton beach and through Rye and went for speciality New England Lobster stew which was apparently "not as good as usual" according to Jill, but still fab in my books. If you`re not familiar with New England; it`s seafood and chowdah country... so this is the best of the best! Walked around Portsmouth and just let the day pass by. Bought some cheese and wine and had a fantastic home cooked dinner.... ahhhh! just like home!

Next: Maine Teen Camp!
