 Short Break in Fiji and I'm Home! Hi all, as some of you know only too well, I am now back in Haxey! Ma and Pa Picked me up from Heathrow and I arrived back at home this morning. Quite tired and a wee bit Jet Lagged but otherwise ok and the champagne provided courtessy of Aunty Carol is always a bonus. Spent 10 days in Fiji on my way back which was wonderful, much like postcards and Films would suggest... clear blue sea, long white sandy beaches, coconuts, hammocks and lots of locals playing music and dancing polynesian style. I based myself on the beautiful mana Island in the mamanuca island group and stayed at the mana lagoon homestay which was wonderful. The large majority of the week was spent swimming or sunbathing. We explored various islands including the Castaway resort (the set of the film Castaway) and Beachcomber Island which is the setting for Celebrity Love Island. The Island facilities were somewhat limited (no electricity after 9pm and a hose pipe for a shower) but I felt that this simply added to the charm. The flight home wasn`t too bad as far as 24 hour flights go and although I`m sad to have finished the adventure am now looking forward to catching up with everyone!! Guess this will be the last blog for this adventure so I`ll see u all soon xx
