10th Jul 2007Lima, Peru Wow, far better than i ever imagined, Lima is one hell of a city. Do not, I repeat do not believe the lies you read about Lima being ugly and dangerous, it is quite the contrary. Beautiful seaside areas like El Barranco and hopping nightlife areas like the Panamericano in el norte make this a must see city. We stayed here two weeks in a great hostel called Casa Rodas in the Miraflores area, and for the price this is one of the best hostels i have been to in South America. (casarodas.com) They have it all, full kitchen, TV with dvd, nice rooms, Terrace with bar, friendly staff...you name it, they have it, for between 7 to 12 dollars a night depending on your needs. I will add more to this in a few days, but suffice it to say Lima is one hell of a town, i am looking forward to going back.
