Sydney - Blue Mountains

Whoops been a little while since I updated this site!!! Will give you a brief breakdown of what I have been up to since April

Sydney:
Well my nezxt port of call after Melbpourne was to ride up to Sydney and fill in the gaps of activities I missed when I first came to Sydney for Mardi Gras.

Just before I left Melbourne though I contacted Rita (one of my friends that I made whilst on the Inca Trail in Peru) who was back from travelling herself and living in Sydney. She invited me to come and stay with her and take a camping trip with her and her girlfiends to the Blue Mountains for 3 days. I couldnt have wished for a better invite as I really wanted to take a trip to the Blue mountains, and what better way to see them, then with 4 crazy ozzie girls on a camping exploration trip!!!

I had an awsume time with the girls in Sydney. They took me on several drunken nights out in town (one thing is for certain I will never go near Goon again!), showed me Summer Bay beach (from Home and Away) and included me to join them in a glutenous easter lunch (roast Lamb with all the trimmings and a tons of chocolate - the Easter bunny ceratinly found its way to me Mum you`ll be happy to hear!)

After the Easter weekend we headed to the Blue Mountains in a car that was struggling against collapsing under the weight from the stuff that we had packed into the back of it (you cant imagine how much stuff 5 girls can try and take on a 3 day camping trip!!) We had an awsume time, and I am so proud of myself for doing it - Everyone at home will probably be falling off their chairs in disbelief that I went camping in the Ozzie bush, knowing what a nervous wreck I was when I was over in Queensland 7 years prior (I couldnt even sit on a chair without freaking that their might be some deadly spider under it ready to bite me and kill me!) I didnt even freak out when Caroline announced that she was going to sleep on the second night with a frying pan next to her head!! (We had heard a Possum rustling round our tents that evening and she explained that the possum would more than likely try and get into her tent [as it had no bottom to it, so she was completely exposed] and try and find food - apparently possums can be very viscous, so a frying pan at the ready was a good idea!!!) Ok, ok........I admit this didnt really worry me that much as I had decided that I was sleeping in the car that evening a couple of hours before she announced this, but may I just add that I was sleeping in the car, not because I was scared, but because it was bloody freezing in the tents at night - the first night was like camping in a freezer!!!

We got back from the Blue Mountains and found out that the Easter Show was on in town. A show that I was told couldnt be missed esp as a tourist, so of course I went . Saw my first rodeo!

Well we had a great time in the Blue Mountains and Sydney with the girls. Thanks Ladies you certainly made it a trip that I will never forget!
