![]() Dani and Dave's Wedding What a venue! What a ceremony! What a beautiful couple! And what freezing weather!! Dani and Dave's wedding day goes down as one of the best weddings EVER (and, yes, I would know, with 13 weddings on the cards this year, I'm getting to know my way around the wedding traps). Dani looked stunning in a latte gown with hand stitched red lace - a paper bag would look great on Dani (where do those boobs come from??!), but her wedding dress was indeed a work of art. And Dave shaped up pretty well too (thanks to some last minute make-up touches). Held at the Hyatt Canberra, the venue can't be beaten for class and people to run around doing those last minute jobs (like super gluing the bride's shoes 30 mins before the wedding). The Courtyard where the marriage took place was initimate, and somehow Dani (and her mum) managed to colour coordinate everything (including the reception decour, flowers, etc) to the colour of Dani's dress... wedding planners take note! With 80% of the guests musicans, it was little surprise that at one stage there were more people in the band than on the dance floor... apart from me, of course, who can't sing to save myself (or anyone else) and have destroyed my piano playing figures through boxing. Highlights * Seeing the look on Dani and Dave's faces when they each gave their respective speeches... such love! * Being asked and delivering the Best Woman's speech - what an honour! * Seeing Dani in her dress... check out the pictures! Lowlights * Deciding the bride needed oysters just before the wedding, and biting into a bad one... but once again my vodka sculling trick worked!! * Spending a combined total of 24 hours shopping for a bridal clutch to match the bride's dress.
