RIght as you`ve all guest we are now in Thailand, landed in Bangkok on the 10th, was nicely greeted by my father and we promptly spent a few nice days settling into a new country. Bangkok was very busy, lots of things to get used to such as the weather, people new language to get used to as well. Met lots of nice people who hopefully will be meeting again sometime, and then decided what we wanted to do. In this case, try Diving or Scuba Diving to be exact.

We headed south to a place called Pattaya, which is a coastal resort area, this place is famous for its diving and its seedeir side of night life. BTW driving round Bangkok isn`t recommended, the traffic system here is crazy, they reverse the flow of traffic at certain times and block off random roads forcing you to try n go round a differnt route.

Once down in Pattaya we went to a nice little place called the Pig n Whistle which is a famous English owned Bar for eth Brits. Had a nice fish n chip lunch there, though the batter was weird. After here I met my old uncle Joe who is currently living here, he seems much happier now and thinner too.

Right Diving we wanted so diving we looked for, got a few leaflets and check prices, after this it was pretty much eth first Dive shop we went into, mainly as they had the only fully fitted twin hulled boat in this place, plus its ran by a bloke from Gatwick! The staff were very nice and we pretty much signed up there n then. Well pretty much, firstly we tried the one day trial which if we liked could count towards the course certification. After the first day we were hooked, so we went through teh entire course. Am pleased to say bith Ada and myself are now qualifed divers!!! (cheer..... well cheer then damn it!!)

From here we head to Chiang Mai for some nice stead rock climbing fun. WOnder how we`ll do.....?
