Exciting fun packed trip Hello! RIght since we last spole..er. read we haev been White water rafting, Kayaking and elephant riding too! Elephant was brilliant, both of us queued up to get on and we got the little one, only 10 yrs old but huge! Think he was only interesting in eating the plants on the 1 hr long trek on him, didn`t want to follow the rest of the herd. Was very funny, got some nice shots of him too. Almost to the end of teh walk he picked up n lead us to the stall where bananana`s can be bought to feed him, led us straight there with no problems what so ever! Once we bought him a treat he proceeded to take one step then stop, demand a bananana then take another step.. then stop.. demand yet another bananna.. heh not daft. AFter taking him for a drink the trip was over but I saved a couple so Ada could feed him at ground level. SHe seemed to enjoy it. Rafting and Kayaking was also great, teh river is a 10KM stretch with class 2-4 rapids, we were taught what commands to listen for so our guide could get us down in one peace. FOr example if he shouted forward, you paddle forward, back..er. well back, then right back, left forward.. etc. Then teh all important, get down which signals us to get low n hold on tight. Then On teh Job, where you take you starting position ready to paddle. Was a great trip down, we started a water fight which continued all the entire 10 KM and our guide was more than happy to help up ambush teh other raft. All in all great fun. Kayaking was also great, 1 hrs tution then down the same stretch we did with the raft. Though we did get out on certain hard sections, safety n all. Ada managed to flip 3 times and myself once, though Ada did recover each time, myself, I bailed really really fast. Being upside down in rapids with water up my nose prompted to exit the canoe quickly. heh yer I know, chicken... pah! RIght thats all for now. Have a wonderful CHristmas all and a good new year, maybe seeing you soon!
