Me in a Convent!!! I know!!!

Hey folks :-)

Just a quickie to check in, as it`s been a wee while...there`s not much to report from beautiful Kaikoura, where for the most part I am still working hard at The Old Convent.

I`ve had a wee chuckle at the messages from those of you who commented on the appropriateness of my residing in a Convent!!! I know! :-)

I`ve e-mailed a few of you with the recent uninspiring news of my exploits...so to you apologies for the duplication...

As well as working hard, I`m still trying to keep up the playing hard too... I`m still doing lots of cycling and each day weather permiting swimming 50 lengths of the pool here at work! That said I`m not really seeing the benefits as the food is provided as part of the package and it`s delish! And it`d be rude to say no right? We also sell the most gorgeous Belgian recipe chocs in the little shop... I am hoping that the exercise counterbalances the food intake and that I at least maintain a status quo, as without the exercise I`d be sure to be the size of several houses!!!

I`ve also developed a penchant for the local beer, and along with my co-worker when we get a few hours off we head into the little town to the local for a few pints, or lounge by the pool with a few bottles (fab!) again a habit not exactly enhancing to one`s waistline!!!

I finished work early the other night, and we also managed to take in some `Jack Johnson-esque` live music with our beer, which was great! So several pitchers of the brown stuff later a great night was had by all!!! :-) It wasn`t so great getting up for work the next morning though...oops! :-(

So working with some lovely people, finally staying put for a bit, earning & saving a little bit, getting outdoors lots, and even managing the occasional night out life is ticking along pretty nicely!!! :-)

I wandered around the place in the sunshine the other day taking a few pics for posterity so I thought I`d share them here, and give you an idea of where I`m living...I still need to take a good shot of the pool, and one of where I live so they`ll have to follow next time...
